讲座人简介：

Leslie Ying received her B.Eng. in Electronics Engineering from Tsinghua University, China in 1997 and both    her M.S. and Ph.D. in Electrical  Engineering from the  University of  Illinois at  Urbana - Champaign in 1999 and 2003, respectively. She was an Assistant Professor and then Associate Professor of  Electrical Engineering and  Computer Science at  the  University of   Wisconsin - Milwaukee  (UWM)  from  2003 to 2011.  She  joined the University at Buffalo (UB), the State University of New York in Spring 2012.  Her research interests  include  magnetic resonance imaging,  compressed  sensing,  image  reconstruction, a nd   machine  learning.  She  received  a  CAREER  award  from  the National Science Foundation in 2009. She was also a recipient of  the  UWM  Research Foundation,  the Graduate  School  Research  Award,   and   UB   SEAS  Senior  Research  Award.  She served  as  an  Associate  Editor of   IEEE Transactions on Biomedical Engineering.  She  served  on  the  Administrative  Committee of   IEEE Engineering in Medicine and  Biology Society during 2013-2015 and the Steering Committee of IEEE Transactions  on  Medical Imaging in  2015. She is  now a   Deputy Editor of Magnetic Resonance in  Medicine and  an  Editorial Board Member of Scientific Reports by Nature Publishing Group.
